A Brief Intermission in Our Regularly Scheduled Programming

Dear valued customers, loyal followers, and that one person who accidentally subscribed but keeps reading anyway,

I have an announcement that will either devastate you completely or provide you with a brief respite from my relentless creative output. I'm going on vacation. I know, I know. The audacity is breathtaking.

After months of staring at computer screens with the intensity of someone trying to decode ancient hieroglyphics, and operating laser machines with the precision of a caffeinated surgeon, I've come to a startling realization: I apparently need something called "rest." My optometrist disagrees with my screen-time statistics, and my laser machines have started making concerning beeping sounds that I'm told are not supposed to be part of their normal operation.

But here's the thing, and please don't let this go to your heads, I love you people. All of you. I don’t even know you, but I love you. Even Karen from Etsy who keeps asking if I can "just quickly" laser-engrave her entire extended family tree onto a grain of rice. Even Bob who messages me at 3 AM with "urgent" requests for custom work that he needs "sometime this decade, no rush."

You've supported my questionable business decisions, tolerated  (we don't dare talk about the glitter incident of 2023), and somehow convinced yourselves that my creations are worth actual money. For this level of delusion, I am eternally grateful.

So while I'm away, probably sitting on a beach somewhere, definitely not thinking about new project ideas (that's a lie, I'm already creating in this brain), please know that I'll be back to creating faster than you can say "custom laser-engraved commemorative spoon collection." The screens will be stared at, the lasers will be operated, and at some point, I’ll get actual products online and even restart my blog.

Try not to miss me too much. I'll be back before you know it, probably with a tan and definitely with new ideas that seemed brilliant at the time but may require some explaining later.

With love and mild screen-induced astigmatism,

Your Temporarily Absent Creator
